Garry Robertson | Director – Claims Special Investigation Unit, Northbridge

A former police officer with the Peel Regional Police Service, located west of Toronto, Garry’s are as of expertise included advanced fraud and auto theft investigations, undercover operations, major case management and criminal investigations. He started on this career path as a Special Constable with the Ontario Provincial Police. After leaving the police service, Garry was a partner in a private investigation company which focused on organized insurance and corporate fraud investigations.

In 2002 he joined Insurance Bureau of Canada’s newly formed Injury Rings unit and was soon promoted to National Director of Investigations, responsible for the oversight of all investigations and services across Canada, including vehicle recovery, vehicle identification and the liaison with Canada Border Services at the Nations Ports. He also oversaw the organized injury rings team and their major insurance crime files in Southern Ontario.

Garry joined Northbridge in September of 2017 as Manager of the Special Investigations Unit and now leads a team of five.

Garry holds a Certified Fraud Examiner designation (CFE) and is the former co-chair of the Canadian Chiefs of Police Private Sector liaison committee and is qualified as an expert witness in vehicle identification.

KYCS Global Inc is a Canadian company based out of Ontario that provides leading inventory management and lot protection solutions that help with theft recovery for both dealerships and their customers. KYCS Locate is not a gps device, has no monthly fees or subscription fees and has the ability to obtain a satellite signal inside a shipping container. KYCS is partnered with Crime Stoppers Canada and USA and works with all branches of law enforcement including the RCMP and CBSA. 

The Locate device is sold only through dealerships in all verticals (auto, marine, powersports, RV, etc).  KYCS is recommended by personal lines insurance companies in certain provinces and recommended by commercial garage policy insurance dealerships. KYCS Locate works in every province, every US state and up to 190 countries around the world.

The KYCS Locate model works well for dealerships as they are able to protect their inventory, main lot or offsite lots, and then recover the cost of the Locate device by selling it through to the customer. The customer now has peace of mind with a tangible theft recovery product that is proven in the market.
